What I offer

1:1 Tutoring

I offer 1:1 online tutoring for GCSE, A-level (both Maths and Further Maths) as well as university entrance exams (including TMUA, MAT and STEP). I use Microsoft Onenote and google meet to conduct the lessons and share resources.

Assessment

For many students, targeted assessment and feedback can be more valuable than traditional lessons. If you are a student (or the parent of a student) who typically understands concepts in class but underperforms in exams, 1:1 tuition may not offer the best value for money. In these cases, the issue is rarely a lack of general understanding; rather, it is often a matter of untangling very specific misconceptions and learning how to apply knowledge effectively under exam conditions.

I have experience as an examiner for both OCR and Edexcel at A level, and I specialise in helping students understand how exam questions are constructed and how to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.

If you are interested in assessment and feedback support, I would usually begin with a 30-minute consultation with the student (and parent, if desired) to gain a clear understanding of their experiences with examinations. I will then design a structured programme of work over an agreed period, with clear submission deadlines. Work can be submitted in a variety of formats and is marked using Microsoft OneNote, with detailed feedback provided via screen-recorded videos. These videos are shared with both students and parents immediately. Where appropriate, I will request corrections and set targeted follow-up questions to address specific areas for improvement.

Subscription

I offer a subscription model for students who would benefit from a structured combination of lessons, assessment, and feedback. Each subscription is bespoke, with an agreed minimum allocation of time for lessons, marking, and ongoing academic support. A standing order is set up for a minimum term.

Students on a subscription are given priority status, and I take on a mentoring role in addition to tutoring and assessment. I maintain regular contact with students, monitoring their progress not only on the work I set, but also on work assigned by their school. I also provide consistent feedback to parents and raise any concerns promptly.
